I trained as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist because I really value mental wellbeing and I want to help you to care about and take care of yourself.  Investing in your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical wellbeing eg. going to the gym. You probably don’t think twice about maintaining your physical health but you may not have thought about maintaining your mental health at all until now. I view counselling as the ultimate in self-care and self-compassion so treating yourself to therapy helps you to take time out for you and improve your mental wellbeing.

I integrate techniques and tools from both counselling and psychotherapy to tailor an individual approach for each client working in a professional, supportive, informal, non-judgmental way to help you make positive changes in your life and get back on track.

I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University and I am also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP so you can be assured that as an independent practitioner my practice meets the required professional competency and ethical standards.
I have a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS ) check and full professional indemnity insurance.

With extensive experience and several years practical counselling expertise covering a wide range of problems, which includes working with young people in a high school and bereaved families at a hospice I can help you to heal, regain hope and move forward with confidence. Enough about me as our sessions are all about you !
